Faye Shu is a China-born amateur filmmaker currently in the UK. She is the writer/director of the short films "Foliage" and "Safe Dose." "Safe Dose" was selected as one of five projects of the 2024 One Short Film Project for Women Directors and premiered at the 2025 Seoul International Women's Film Festival. "Foliage" was selected for international film festivals in China, Türkiye, Mexico, Italy, Colombia, the US, Argentina, and Brazil. 


She's developing her debut feature film. As a script translator, she has worked on feature documentaries and fiction films, including Lucky Lu (2025), Blue Sun Palace (2024), and The Vagrant Master (2023). 


Faye attended Barnard College in New York City for her undergraduate studies. She previously worked as a data scientist at an ad/tech company in Los Angeles. In 2024, she co-founded Mogu Films in Shanghai.
